I prefer to pay for Pages with my own personal $$ to use it instead. Microsoft Office es, indiscutiblemente, la suite más completa y popular para trabajar. I DO have to share my files with PC users with Office. Pages also plays better when embedding URLs into text (the links are still hot), and other features Office 2008 did not have for sure (could be fixed in Office 2011, I've only just started with that suite). While based on OpenOffice, they are dedicated to making it look and run like a Mac application. Pretty nice program when Office runs at least $100, But when I use it for complex documents, it's SO much faster than genuine office, I more than make up the time from other areas that adding this relatively minor step to my workflow is just not a deal-breaker. iwork is nicer to use & loads quicker, but, for me, no more compatible with M/S than neo. NeoOffice est une suite bureautique complte et libre pour macOS base sur le code du logiciel libre.
I've always used neooffice since going mac & the compatibility problems aren't much worse than transferring stuff around different versions of M/S Office. I'd say OpenOffice over NeoOffice, as Neo is a side project based off OpenOffice. My problems with free office suite software is that it has not been able to import anything but the most simple documents made in real office or iWork apps. The easiest solution is to download neooffice & the trial version of iwork 09. Sounds like Neooffice is still the way to go for now. We have tested NeoOffice to try to use the Office Connector, but it is just not. Perhaps things have changed but that's how it was awhile back. I thought Pages was ok but it had no way to default to the msoffice format.
